Ben van derWijngaart (from the Kiama Greens) and Arthur Rorris (South Coast Labour Council)  presented and discussed a strategy for creating GREEN JOBS in the Illawarra.

The event was a great success! Thanks to all involved & thanks for coming - we hope people became more informed of how Solar Hot Water works & how it can reduce our carbon emissions at a local level.

Theresa & Rowan Huxtable and Frank Coluccio met with David Farmer, Wollongong Council Manager. We showed what other councils are doing to cut emissions in their areas. We asked unsuccessfully for Wollongong Council to make a similar strong public commitment to take similar action. We also asked without success if the Council would consider staging a similar event to Cool Day Out.

Gina Krohn from Helensburgh Lions Club invited us to set up at stall at the "Buzz at the Burgh"fair.

Michael Leggett, Karen Bartholomew and Stuart Waters staffed the stall.
